In most cases, anybody that’s part of an enterprise, business, school, workplace, etc., will have a system administrator who manages these types of settings and extensions on your machine. When a Google Chrome extension says that it’s “Installed by Enterprise Policy,” “Installed by Your Administrator,” or “ Managed by Your Organization,” all it means is that when the extension is installed, it was done so with elevated permissions and can’t be removed in the standard way. CleanWipe only removes Symantec software, such as Symantec Endpoint Protection.While CleanWipe can remove older installations of Symantec Endpoint Protection, you should not use an older version of CleanWipe to remove a newer version, as this action can have unexpected results. You should always use the latest version of the CleanWipe removal tool to uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection.
You should only use CleanWipe as a last resort when the usual uninstallation methods are unsuccessful. Broadcom Support does not recommend using CleanWipe the first time you have uninstallation trouble.
